CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

This Policy governs cancellations and refunds for payments made to Capablanca Chess School Pvt. Ltd.

A. Demo class

  • Upon signing up, students are allowed a demo session free of cost for student to ascertain the quality of classes and for the school to ascertaining the student’s capacity.
  • Students are allowed to choose whether they would like a one-on-one of batch sessions. Batch is allotted based on knowledge, skill and available slots.

B. Online Classes

  • Fees paid towards quarterly, half-yearly, or annual subscriptions are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances. Weekly 2 classes depending on convenience
  • There is no cooling-off period; i.e., once the fee is paid, the same is strictly non-refundable, regardless of whether the student is in attendance.
  • In the event that a scheduled session is cancelled by the Company, the assured number of classes shall be compensated by way of rescheduled or makeup sessions, ensuring no shortfall in the total committed classes.

C. In-person Chess Clubs

  • Available at select locations on subscription basis.
  • Fee is payable on quarterly, half-yearly, or annual basis.
  • Fee once paid is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.

D. Tournaments

  • Fees paid towards tournament registrations are non-refundable if the participant withdraws.
  • If the tournament is cancelled by the Company, the entire registration fee shall be refunded.

E. Refund Process

  • Refunds (where applicable) shall be made only to the original payment instrument used through the payment aggregator.
  • Refunds shall be initiated by us within two (2) business days of confirmation of cancellation. The amount is ordinarily credited by the payment aggregator/banks into the customer’s account within five (5) to seven (7) business days, although this timeline may vary depending on the customer’s card-issuing bank, payment network, or other intermediaries.
